Lucknow: In the important cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh, many big and revolutionary decisions regarding the development of the state have been approved. This high-profile meeting is being considered very important in terms of development of UP, administrative reforms and big proposals directly to the public.

A total of 12 big proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting, whose direct and positive impact will be seen from the rural areas of the state to the development of big cities.

The biggest decision regarding OBC reservation in Panchayat elections

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step regarding the three-tier Panchayat elections in the state. The government has given its approval for the formation of ‘Dedicated Backward Classes Commission’. This special commission will conduct a detailed survey in the entire state to decide the correct and accurate ratio of Other Backward Class (OBC) reservation in Panchayats. On the basis of the report of this commission, reservation of Gram Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat and District Panchayat seats will be decided in the coming time. The tenure of this commission has been fixed for six months and it will be headed by a retired judge of the High Court.

Green signal given for expansion of Lucknow and Agra Metro

To make urban transport smooth and hi-tech, the state government has passed very important proposals to the expansion of Lucknow and Agra Metro. Under this, a formal agreement will now be signed with the Central Government to take forward the work of East-West Corridor (Phase-1B) of Lucknow Metro. Along with this, the proposal of land transfer for the construction of the second corridor of Agra Metro has also been approved. With this decision, the metro network will expand rapidly in both the big cities and common passengers will get excellent travel facilities.

Bumper power project worth Rs 2799 crore will be set up in Mirzapur

To overcome the electricity shortage in Uttar Pradesh and further strengthen the supply, the government has decided to make a big investment. The Cabinet has approved construction of 765/400 KV pooling substation and new transmission lines at Mirzapur. This huge project, to be built at a cost of about Rs 2,799 crore, will see a major improvement in the quality, reliability and supply of electricity in the entire state. This project will prove to be a lifeline for domestic consumers as well as traders and industries.

A new hospital with 1010 beds will be built in Lohia Institute of Lucknow.

A very good news has come from the health sector for the patients of the capital Lucknow and surrounding districts. Now a huge multi-specialty emergency center with 1010 beds will be built in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow, which has been approved by the Cabinet. Under this big project, a new well-equipped hospital, modern OPD block and a new teaching block will be built in the institute. This will not only provide world class treatment to the patients, but will also provide great strength to the students studying medical education.

Mirzapur gets new private university, big step in the field of education

Students of Purvanchal will no longer have to go far for higher education. The government has given green signal to the proposal to establish ‘Sardar Patel Apex University’ in Mirzapur. This new private university will be developed in a state-of-the-art manner on about 50 acres of land in a rural area. With this big step, students of local and rural areas will get excellent and new opportunities for higher education close to their homes, which will also open new avenues of employment in this entire area.

Prayagraj’s Swarup Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital will be rejuvenated

The way for the expansion of Rani Nehru Hospital (SRN), the famous form of Sangam city Prayagraj, has now been completely cleared. The Cabinet has given its approval to the proposal to transfer the land required for the expansion of the hospital. Let us tell you that this hospital is already the most prominent tertiary care center of the entire Prayagraj division, where a large number of serious patients come for treatment not only from the surrounding districts but also from the neighboring state Madhya Pradesh (MP). With the availability of land, the facilities here can be expanded rapidly.

Veterinary students got a big gift, stipend tripled

Yogi government has also given a big gift to the youth and students in this cabinet meeting. The government has significantly increased the internship allowance (stipend) of students studying in veterinary universities. Now these students will directly get a stipend of Rs 12,000 per month instead of Rs 4,000 that they were getting earlier. This big decision of the government will directly benefit hundreds of students doing internship in the University of Veterinary Sciences of Mathura, University of Agriculture and Technology of Ayodhya and University of Agriculture and Technology of Meerut.
