**Examinations Held from March to April**
The Tamil Nadu SSLC examinations for 2026 were conducted in an offline mode across various examination centers throughout the state from March 11 to April 6. The examination was held in a single shift, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Students were also allotted an additional 15 minutes before the start of the exam to read the question paper and formulate their answers.

Last year, the Tamil Nadu Board released the SSLC examination results on May 16. In the year 2025, the overall pass percentage was recorded at 93.80%. That year, a total of 9,13,036 students appeared for the examination. Girls outperformed boys in the results.

Pass percentage for boys: 91.74%
Meanwhile, in the year 2024, the overall pass percentage stood at 91.55%. That year, 8,94,264 students took the examination, out of whom 8,18,743 students were declared successful.
