Before IPL 2026, rarely have so many players been out of the tournament during a single season, as has happened this time. This trend had started even before the season started and continued till just before the end of the season. The latest case is related to Lucknow Super Giants, which is already out of the playoffs. But before the last two matches of the season, the team's star batsman Aiden Markram has returned to his country South Africa.

Markram did not score a half-century in a single innings in the entire season and his highest score in this season was only 45 runs. However, only Mitchell Marsh (467 runs) and captain Rishabh Pant (251) scored more runs than him.
Talking about Lucknow's season, the team captained by Rishabh Pant was out of the playoff race this time too. Now he has to play Rajasthan Royals and then finally Punjab Kings on 23 March. Even though the team itself has been eliminated, it can destroy the playoff hopes of both these teams.
