According to the information received, the Haldi ceremony of a girl named Rakhi was performed on April 26. According to Hindu culture, turmeric is applied to the bride’s body during this event and the same happened with Rakhi. Turmeric was applied to her body but after some time her condition started to deteriorate. Seeing Rakhi’s condition, the family rushed her to MY Hospital in Indore but she died during the treatment. This incident is currently in a lot of discussion and people are now worried about adulterated turmeric.

FSSAI said that whenever buying turmeric, buy turmeric from trusted shops and brands. Do not buy turmeric if it is too bright in color, as there is a possibility of color mixing. Always check the FSSAI certificate on the turmeric package and only then buy it.
