AC is not good for skin and hair: We all love sitting in air conditioner 24/7 in summer. But living in AC is causing huge damage to skin and hair. Actually, to keep our skin and hair healthy, it is necessary to maintain moisture in them.

Staying in AC all day reduces the moisture in our body, due to which our skin starts looking dry and dull. Most of the people are spending most of their time in AC either at home or in office and due to this the quality of our hair and skin is deteriorating.

what can be done

  • Spend minimum time in AC. Do not use AC unnecessarily when not needed.
  • If it is necessary to sit in AC, keep drinking water and keep the body hydrated. Also sit after applying moisturizer and serum.
  • Apply aloe vera gel or coconut oil on the hair, this will keep it moisturized.
  • Also take care of diet for good hair and skin. Consume such fruits and vegetables which have high water content.
  • Do not sit in AC continuously, keep going out in between.
  • Spending more time in AC causes dryness in the skin, due to which the skin starts aging quickly i.e. aging becomes faster. Wrinkles and fine lines start appearing quickly.
  • Humidifier, cooler or water pot can be used instead of air condition. This will cause less harm to our skin.
  • Keep the temperature of AC between 24-26 degrees.

how to protect

Apart from all this, do not sit in AC continuously. In between this, let natural air come into the room. open the windows. Also avoid using fragrant skin care products. If you stay in AC all day, avoid washing your face repeatedly. Hydrating masks, steam and massage with facial oil can add life to the face.

To protect hair from dryness, one should not sit in front of the AC duct. Also apply lightweight live-in conditioner to the hair, this will keep the hair moist. Do not leave hair completely open. Make a halter braid.
