Tottenham Hotspur supporter group, Change for Tottenham, are preparing to hold a protest against the club’s board following Sunday’s crucial Premier League encounter with Everton.
Spurs fans have been urged to take part in the demonstration after the final whistle of what will be their last league match of the season.
Roberto de Zerbi’s side face a decisive fixture against Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with their top-flight status still hanging in the balance.
To secure safety in the Premier League, Spurs must earn at least a point or depend on West Ham United dropping points in their home clash against Leeds.
The fan group Change For Tottenham released a statement emphasizing that while they expect supporters to back the team for the full 90 minutes, they intend to voice their frustrations towards the board immediately after the game, regardless of the result.
“This Sunday, for 90 minutes, we need to get behind the team,” the group said in their statement.
“Nothing else matters. We need the points, and the players need every one of us supporting them for one final time this season.”
They continued, “When the final whistle blows, no matter the outcome, we must hold the board accountable for putting us in this dangerous position.”
“This isn’t just about one poor season; it’s two consecutive disappointing league finishes that have left our Premier League survival dependent on the final day of the campaign.”
According to the group, banners will be displayed across all three home stands at full-time, with fans encouraged to join in chants directed against the club’s hierarchy.
The statement concluded emphatically: “ENIC out. Vinai out. Lange out.”
This was a direct reference to the club’s majority owners, ENIC Group, chief executive Vinai Venkatesham, and director of football Johan Lange.
Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League last season but still managed to qualify for the Champions League after claiming the Europa League title.
