
New Delhi, 22 May. The Central Government has launched a special mobile app to help in the care and safety of the elderly. Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar launched the JEEVAN app on Friday. Along with this, a special dashboard named SHATAYU was also launched to strengthen the care of the elderly. This new app and dashboard is a big step by the government towards the safety, care, dignity and empowerment of the elderly.
The app and dashboard were presented to the nation during a national workshop on Creating a Well-Functioning Care Economy organized in the national capital. Its full name is JEEVAN (Joint Elderly Empowerment & Virtual Assistance Network) mobile application. The government has created a better support system for senior citizens through technology.

Finding a caregiver will be easy with SHATAYU dashboard
During the workshop, the government has launched another digital platform. Its name is SHATAYU (Senior Holistic Care Assistance and Training For Your Utility) Geriatric Caregiver Dashboard. This dashboard will strengthen the services of caregivers taking care of the elderly.
Through this platform, the elderly or their families can easily get information about the presence of professional caregivers available in their particular district or state. The interface of this platform has also been kept very simple and user-friendly, so that people do not face any problem in accessing it and effective service delivery can be ensured.
