New Delhi [India], May 23: Dimple Jangda -- National Bestselling Author, Celebrity Ayurvedic and Gut Health Coach, and Founder of Prana by Dimple Jangda -- attended the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026 as she ventured into the world of documentary filmmaking. Ms. Jangda brought with her a singular creative vision: to capture India's ancient philosophical and scientific traditions -- Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedic cosmology, and classical life sciences -- through the modern cinematic lens, for a global audience hungry for wisdom rooted in millennia of lived experience. Editors, producers, filmmakers, and creative collaborators were invited to connect with Ms. Jangda at Cannes to explore co-production, distribution, and storytelling partnerships for this landmark documentary project.
The Red Carpet -- Where Two Worlds Met
Dimple Jangda walked the iconic red carpet steps of the Palais des Festivals in an outfit that stopped the Croisette in its tracks -- a deep crimson column gown draped in an intricate handcrafted gold lattice, at once a homage to Marilyn Monroe's timeless elegance and a celebration of India's extraordinary textile artistry. The fusion of French haute couture sensibility with rich Indian fabric traditions was no coincidence: it was a deeply personal statement about the two cultures she has carried within her all her life.
Ms. Jangda grew up attending a convent school in Chennai founded by French nuns in the 17th century -- an institution that wove French language, culture, and philosophy into her earliest years. In Mumbai, her closest circle included friends from Paris, Normandy, Nantes, Nice, Angers, Brittany, and Grenoble. France, for Dimple Jangda, was never a foreign country -- it was a second home carried in language, in friendship, and in memory. Something has always brought her back to France. This time, it was Cannes.

"My outfit was my story -- the gold lattice draped over crimson was India and France woven together, exactly as they have been in my life. I have always been a child of both worlds."
-- Dimple Jangda, Cannes 2026

France Meets India -- A Week of Couture
Across the five days of Cannes 2026, Ms. Jangda presented a carefully curated wardrobe that honoured both her Indian heritage and her lifelong love of French style. Each look was a dialogue -- between East and West, antiquity and modernity, restraint and radiance.
The Documentary Vision
India is home to some of the world's oldest and most sophisticated knowledge systems -- Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Vastu, and Vedic philosophy -- that predate modern medicine by thousands of years and are now being validated by cutting-edge science. Yet these traditions have remained largely misunderstood, mythologised, or inaccessible to the world at large.
Ms. Jangda's documentary sought to change that. Drawing on her decade of clinical practice, academic research, and global outreach spanning 147 countries, she set out to create a visually immersive, intellectually rigorous, and emotionally resonant film that bridges ancient Indian wisdom with the modern scientific panorama -- for audiences everywhere.

A Storyteller Born from Two Worlds
Ms. Jangda's path to Cannes was itself a remarkable story. A graduate of the University of Madras with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication -- where she studied filmmaking, photography, multimedia, and the arts -- she later earned a Gold Medal Master's degree in International Business and Finance. She worked as a copywriter in advertising in Chennai, a television reporter in Bangalore, and a TV Producer with CNBC in Mumbai, before transitioning into investment banking in New York City.
At the height of her corporate career, she made the rare and courageous choice to walk away. She embarked on a journey across 11 countries in 10 months -- travelling remote Indian countryside, visiting ancient ruins and village healers -- and rediscovered Ayurveda as both a personal calling and a civilisational truth. She returned to Mumbai and founded Prana, now one of the world's most recognised platforms for Ayurvedic nutrition and preventive healthcare. At Cannes, she returned to her first creative love: visual storytelling

Global Authority in Ayurvedic Nutrition
Ms. Jangda is the National Bestselling Author of two critically acclaimed books: The Ultimate Healing Code and Heal Your Gut, Mind & Emotions -- a #1 national bestseller in Mental & Spiritual Healing, ranked #4 in Healthy Living and Wellness, and among the Top 100 books worldwide, published in six languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and German.
She is the Founder of Prana Healthcare Centre (est. 2017), an Ayurveda clinic which treated over 5,600 patients from 74 countries. Her Prana Academy for Ayurvedic Life Sciences enrolled more than 21,000 students from 90 countries. Prana was featured as a business case study by Routledge / Taylor & Francis, UK, in Doing Business in South Asia

Reach & Cultural Influence
With over 2.4 million social media followers and podcast listeners in 147 countries, Ms. Jangda commanded one of the most engaged audiences in global wellness and Ayurvedic health. Her television series Ayurveda Diaries, broadcast in English, Hindi, and Telugu, reached over 45 million viewers.
She conducted more than 300 workshops for 85,000 participants at the London Stock Exchange, KPMG London, Ricoh Poland, and BNP Paribas. Her client roster included Juhi Chawla, Dev Patel, Anjali Tendulkar, Rani Mukherjee, Masaba Gupta, Neena Gupta, Huma Qureshi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rakul Preet Singh, Tripti Dimri, Kajal Aggarwal, Divya Dutta, Tahira Kashyap, Lisa Ray, and the Dolce & Gabbana team from Paris, among many others.
Invitation To Collaborate
Ms. Jangda arrived at Cannes to meet filmmakers, directors, producers, distributors, and creative collaborators who shared her passion for stories that challenge conventional thinking and expand the boundaries of human knowledge.
She invited conversations around co-production, distribution, creative partnerships, and editorial collaboration for her documentary on Indian philosophy and ancient sciences. This remains an open invitation -- to be part of a film that could redefine how the world understands India's extraordinary philosophical and scientific heritage.
