Actor Rukmini Vasanth slammed the AI-generated bikini photos that went viral online on Friday evening. In a statement, the
Kantara Chapter 1 star clarified that the images were fabricated and warned of legal action.
The viral into a swimming pool in a green bikini during what appeared to be a professional photoshoot setup. The clips spread quickly across social media, sparking online discussion and leading many users to believe that the footage was authentic.
Rukmini issues statement
In a statement shared on her Instagram story, Rukmini distanced herself from the visuals and said the circulating content had no connection to her.
She wrote, "My team and I have come across certain AI-generated images being circulated online claiming to be me. I want to state clearly that these images are entirely fake and fabricated. The creation and circulation of such manipulated content is deeply irresponsible and a serious violation of privacy. We are taking this matter seriously and initiating the necessary legal and cybercrime action against those involved in creating and spreading these images. Requesting everyone to refrain from sharing or engaging with such content (sic)."
The incident has once again raised concerns over the growing misuse of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology, particularly involving celebrities.
