Ram Charan’s Peddi gets U/A 16+ certificate after minor censor cuts, runtime locked

Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, has completed its censorship formalities ahead of its  . The sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has now received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, with details of its runtime and suggested modifications also surfacing online. According to the makers, Peddi has a final runtime of 189 minutes, which translates to 3 hours and 9 minutes. The certification details were reportedly issued on May 22, 2026.
   
As part of the certification process, the CBFC recommended a few changes in the film. The word “Rajasthan” and a reference to a community were reportedly deleted, while six words were muted or modified in the sports drama. Despite the edits and replacements, the final runtime of the film remains unchanged at 3 hours and 9 minutes. The development comes days after the makers unveiled the official trailer of the film during a grand launch event held in Mumbai.   In  ,while   stars as Achiyamma. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani and Divyenndu in key roles. The film has been backed by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment.
