Tezzbuzz Desk- Nautapa has started from 25th May. According to religious beliefs, these are considered to be the hottest 9 days of the year. During this time, the sun’s rays fall directly on the earth, due to which the temperature increases rapidly. In many states the mercury has reached 45 degrees. In such weather, along with food, it becomes very important to choose the right clothes.
If you wear wrong fabric or dark colored clothes during this period, you may feel excess heat in the body and skin problems may also increase.
During extreme heat and humidity, it is as important to keep the body cool from outside as it is from inside. Wrong clothes can increase body heat and cause many problems by preventing sweating. In such a situation, it is considered best to wear light, loose and sweat-absorbing clothes.
One should avoid wearing synthetic fabrics like nylon, polyester, spandex, acrylic and leather during Nautapa. These clothes cannot absorb sweat and trap heat in the body. Due to this, problems like prickly heat, rashes, fungal infections and skin allergies can occur.
Dark colors absorb more heat during summer season. Therefore, during Nautapa one should avoid wearing clothes of colors like black, navy blue, dark red and maroon. Instead of these, light and soft colors are considered more comfortable.
These colors provide comfort to the eyes and also make the body feel less hot.
One should also avoid wearing overly fitted clothes during Nautapa. Air cannot pass through tight clothes, which increases sweating and heat in the body. Due to this, the risk of discomfort, skin rashes and fungal infections may increase.
Cotton, Khadi and muslin clothes are considered best in summer. They are light and absorb sweat quickly.
These fabrics help in keeping the body cool and feel comfortable for long periods of time.
