Meta brings a new platform for Facebook – Forums. This app has similarities with popular apps like Reddit. This new app has been created with Facebook groups and community chats in mind. Like Reddit, the new app will be used as a forum for various topic-based discussions.
But for now the forum is only brought to US iPhone users. Later it is believed to be brought to users of other countries and Android users as well. Meta describes the forum as “in-depth discussions, genuine responses, and a community that matters.”
How will the forum work? Facebook users will get the opportunity to sign in through their account. And once logged in, the forum displays posts from Facebook groups in a Reddit-style feed. Users can have various discussions here. Also find new groups. And can post directly to different communities. According to Meta, the app is designed in such a way that users can focus more on the interaction rather than trending or popular content.
Here users can also post through their nickname. However, they can be active in Facebook accounts and groups at that time. Any content shared in the forum will also be visible in the original Facebook group. But all in all the matter is not new. Earlier in 2014, Facebook came up with a separate Groups app. But it was not popular at all. Mark Zuckerberg decided to stop it in 2017. Now to see how the forum reacts among the users.
