Fake Party Name Used For Scam: With the increasing popularity of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), which has become increasingly popular on social media, cyber thugs have also become active. Police of many states have warned people that the links and APK files being sent in the name of joining the party, making a member or getting a big post may be fake. By clicking on these, people may get cyber cheated.

How are cyber fraudsters hunting?

• Let us tell you that cyber criminals are sending tempting messages through social media and messaging apps.
• It is written in these, ‘If you want to change the country, then join the party’ or ‘Register now to get big responsibility.’
• Experts say that such links take people to fake websites, where their bank details, private photos and important documents can be stolen.

Big danger of cyber thugs in these states

According to cyber police, such cases have been reported in many states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan. Ludhiana Police alone has received about 12 complaints. After this, police of many states have issued advisories and videos to make people aware.

What to do if you get a message?

• If you get such a message, do not click on any unknown link or APK file.
• Delete the fake message immediately and report it.
• Do not share your photos or personal information with anyone without checking.
• If the link is opened by mistake, immediately turn off the internet and disconnect the phone.
• Also contact the bank and get the card and online transactions temporarily stopped.
• Complain about cyber fraud on helpline number 1930 or in the nearest cyber police station.

CJP’s Instagram account active again

The Instagram account of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’, which was in discussion on social media, has now been recovered again. Founder of the party’s Instagram page, Abhijeet Deepak said through a social media post that his account has become active again.
