Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) face each other in the last league stage match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. In this match being played at Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane has won the toss and decided to bowl first.

KKR is in the race for the playoffs but if the team captained by Ryan Parag wins the ongoing Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, then KKR will be out of luck. With the victory of Rajasthan Royals, not only will KKR be out, but the hopes of Punjab Kings will also end.

What will KKR have to do if RR loses?

If MI beats RR, then KKR will have to get a big win against DC to reach the playoffs, only then it will be able to leave PBKS behind in terms of net run rate. If DC sets a target of 180 runs, then KKR will have to win in between 12 to 12.4 overs. Whereas DC makes 200, then KKR will have to complete the chase between 12.1 to 12.4.
