The Uttar Pradesh government has made only the village heads who have completed their tenure as administrators of gram panchayats. The political impact of this decision is immediately visible. Village head and block head organizations have welcomed this decision of the government. The organizations have said that they will give full support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming assembly elections.
Many organizations associated with village heads have said that the positive message of this decision has reached the villages. State President of Village Head Organization, Kaushal Kishore Pandey has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister. He said that the long standing demand of the organization has been fulfilled. Pradhan will now work diligently as an administrator and will take the government schemes to every home.
Dr. Akhilesh, National President of Rashtriya Panchayatiram Gram Pradhan Organization called it a revolutionary step. He said that the organization will give a return gift to the government in the upcoming assembly elections. Dhirendra Pratap Singh Senani, State President of Block Pramukh Association congratulated the Chief Minister. He expressed hope that the government will make the block heads also administrators like the heads.
This decision will help the Bharatiya Janata Party to strengthen its support base in rural areas and continuously run development schemes. Village heads are considered the main pillars of the party in the villages. By making him an administrator, his political influence will remain intact and BJP will get direct benefit of rural vote bank at the time of elections.
If the officers were made administrators then the pace of work could have slowed down. By making Pradhans administrators, construction and welfare schemes will continue in the villages. With this, the image of the government will remain positive among the public. Due to the approaching assembly elections, the administration is already busy, in such a situation, with the heads becoming administrators, the work at the village level will run smoothly.
After making the heads administrators, now the eyes of the area Panchayat presidents and district Panchayat presidents are fixed on the next decision of the government. The tenure of the Kshetra Panchayat is ending on 19th July and the tenure of the District Panchayat is ending on 11th July. The government may take a decision in this matter in July. The expectation of block chiefs and district panchayat presidents being made administrators has also increased. This decision is believed to have an impact on both the political and administrative levels in the villages.
