TVS-owned British motorcycle brand Norton Motorcycles is on its way to a revival. As part of its plans, Norton Motorcycles is working on a bunch of new motorcycles. Some of these motorcycles have already been unveiled internationally too. As TVS is manufacturing these motorcycles here in India, the brand will launch some of these motorcycles in our market as well. Here we have a list of three such Norton motorcycles that are confirmed for the Indian market.
The Manx R is actually a superbike and was recently unveiled abroad. TVS is planning to position Norton as a premium brand in India, and the Manx R is going to be one of the first models to come to the country. This would be the flagship model, and that would help Norton achieve its goal of being seen as a premium brand.
The Manx R is a fully faired litre-class superbike. The motorcycle is powered by a 1,200 cc V4 engine that generates 204 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. The bike comes with a very clean and sharp-looking design, which is common among motorcycles in this segment.
The bike will be loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen TFT display, a lean-sensitive six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, slide control, traction control, wheelie control, keyless ignition, cruise control, ride modes, and more. The bike is expected to compete with the likes of the BMW S 1000 RR and the Ducati Panigale V4. The launch is expected to happen in the coming months.
The other two motorcycles that are coming to the Indian market are the Atlas Standard and Atlas GT. These are actually two versions of the same motorcycle. The GT is the touring variant, which comes with alloy wheels, while the standard version gets wire-spoke rims and is more off-road-focused.
The Atlas is a middleweight adventure-tourer motorcycle and will compete with the likes of the Himalayan 750. The motorcycle gets a chunky or beefy-looking front end with sleek split headlamp units. We also see LED DRLs outlining the lower part of the headlamp. The bike gets a large windscreen, USD forks, 17-inch wheels, dual disc brakes at the front, adjustable clutch and brake levers, a sleeker tail section with LED indicators that double up as tail lights, and more.

As this is a premium product, Norton will offer features like keyless ignition, four ride modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, and Off-road), traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, an 8-inch TFT display, and much more.
The engine on this motorcycle is going to be a 585 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, expected to produce around 65–70 PS. The engine architecture is said to be similar to what we may see in the upcoming BMW F450 GS.
While these are technically two motorcycles, there are reports that Norton might only launch the Atlas GT in the Indian market. The cross-spoke rims might be offered as an optional extra for those who want to take the bike off-road. As this is a premium motorcycle, Norton is expected to launch the bike in the Rs 6–7 lakh price bracket.
