EPFO Facility: The EPFO has presented a major gift to its millions of subscribers. Now, you can easily transfer your PF funds directly into your bank account using UPI, without facing any hassles.
UPI PF Transfer: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has brought great news for its millions of subscribers. Furthermore, the EPFO is set to offer another significant benefit to its members very soon. Providing details on this matter, Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated that under 'EPFO 3.0', members will now be able to easily transfer their PF amounts directly into their bank accounts via UPI, without any inconvenience.
Auto-Settlement Mechanism Implemented
In fact, the EPFO has already implemented an auto-settlement mechanism for eligible claims of up to ₹5 lakh. On the other hand, with the introduction of the new UPI facility, the PF withdrawal process has not only become faster than before but is also set to become even simpler in the future. However, to fully leverage the benefits of this digital facility, it is absolutely mandatory for members' records to be completely up-to-date. Regarding this, some experts believe that regulatory hurdles are often the primary cause of delays in processing PF claims.
Why Is an Active UAN Essential?
Always keep in mind that, before proceeding with any inquiries or transactions, you must first ensure that your Universal Account Number (UAN) is activated. If your UAN is not active, you will be unable to utilize online digital services—including KYC verification and other checks—associated with your account.
Additionally, the name and date of birth recorded in your PF account must precisely match the details listed in your identity documents and bank account records. Do not forget to thoroughly verify all your documents at least once.
Ensure Bank Account and Mobile Number Are Linked
Remember: the bank account linked to your UPI ID must be correctly updated and registered on the PF portal. Additionally, your active mobile number must also be linked to your UAN to ensure that you do not encounter any issues during the OTP verification process.
