Narendra Modi Advice On Dehydration: Water is a human need. A person can survive for a few days without food, but it is impossible without water. In this scorching heat, strong sunlight, sweat and rising temperature create the risk of dehydration i.e. lack of water in the body. To avoid this, it is important to drink plenty of water.
According to experts, the need for water is different for everyone. Generally a healthy person should drink 2.5 to 3.5 liters of water. But, after coming from sunlight, after long run, exercise or yoga, the body gets dehydrated, in such a situation the need of water increases.
As soon as you wake up in the morning, you should drink 1 to 2 glasses of normal or lukewarm water on an empty stomach, this helps in reducing the energy lost due to relaxation of the body overnight. It also keeps the body hydrated and the digestive system works better.
If you have to go out of the house, drink a glass of water 15 to 20 minutes before leaving. Due to this, water deficiency in the body does not happen quickly.
To keep the body hydrated in summer, instead of drinking too much water at once, drink a little water every 30 to 40 minutes. Drinking small amounts of water hydrates the body properly and helps in preventing heat stroke.
Drinking too much water immediately after eating can cause stomach problems. The gastric fire of the stomach works to digest food. When we drink water immediately after eating food, the gastric fire becomes cold and is not able to do its work properly. Therefore, in summer it is better to drink water about 30 minutes after eating.
Drinking some water before sleeping helps in keeping the body hydrated, but one should not drink too much water. Due to this, sleep can be disrupted repeatedly at night.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed to the countrymen to be careful in the summer. He has advised to drink water to keep the body hydrated. He also says that if you go out of the house, then definitely carry a water bottle with you. The PM said that in this summer, make arrangement for drinking water outside the house, so that any thirsty person can get water.
