JAC Delhi 2026 BTech Admission: The process for Joint Admission Counselling—or JAC Delhi 2026—has commenced for admission into five major engineering institutions in Delhi.

JAC Delhi 2026 BTech Admission: If you are dreaming of pursuing a BTech degree from one of Delhi's top engineering colleges, there is great news for you. This year, the number of seats available in the capital's major engineering institutions has been increased. Additionally, several new courses have been introduced, thereby providing more students with the opportunity to secure admission.

The Joint Admission Counselling process—JAC Delhi 2026—has officially begun for admission into five of Delhi's premier engineering institutions. Through this counselling process, seats will be allotted to students based on their JEE Main ranks. This year, the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has also rejoined this counselling system. If you, too, aspire to pursue engineering at one of Delhi's top colleges, this opportunity could prove to be extremely significant for you.

Which Colleges Offer Admission?

Through JAC Delhi 2026, admissions will be granted to five major institutions this time around. These include the Delhi Technological University (DTU), Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Delhi), and the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). In addition to BTech programs, admissions will also be offered for B.Arch courses in select disciplines within these institutions.

What is the Application Deadline?

Online registration for JAC Delhi 2026 began on May 28. Students may submit their applications until 11:30 PM on June 9. Students can register by visiting the official website: jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. Following registration, candidates can select their preferred colleges and courses, as well as pay the requisite counselling fee. This year, NSUT has been designated as the Coordinating University.

How Many Seats Are Available for Admission This Time?

This year, admissions will be conducted for a total of 7,855 seats. Of these, 7,765 seats have been allocated for B.Tech programs, while 90 seats are reserved for B.Arch programs. Compared to last year, the number of available seats has increased this time around. This increase is attributed to the introduction of new courses and the re-inclusion of DSEU in the process.

Admission Based on JEE Main Scores

Admission to B.Tech programs will be granted based on scores obtained in JEE Main Paper 1. Conversely, for admission to B.Arch programs, a valid score in JEE Main Paper 2 will be mandatory. The merit list for students will be prepared based on the JEE Common Rank List (CRL). Following this, seat allotment will be conducted through an online counseling process. According to available information, the first round of seat allotment is expected to be released by mid-June.

Significant Advantage for Delhi Students

As is the tradition every year, students from Delhi will enjoy a significant advantage in the JAC Delhi admission process this time as well. Specifically, 85 percent of the total available seats will be reserved for students hailing from Delhi. Conversely, the remaining 15 percent of seats will be open for admission to students from other states. This arrangement is expected to make securing admission to top engineering colleges slightly easier for students from Delhi. Furthermore, the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has rejoined the JAC Delhi counseling process this year. Last year, the university had adopted a separate admission procedure; however, a significant number of seats remained vacant following that process. Consequently, DSEU has now returned to the joint counseling system. This time, DSEU will fill the B.Tech seats across its nine campuses through the JAC counseling process.

Which Courses Are Available?

Under the JAC Delhi 2026 framework, students will have the opportunity to seek admission to a diverse range of B.Tech and professional courses. The Delhi Technological University (DTU) and the Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) offer 18 distinct engineering courses, while IIIT Delhi will conduct admissions for 9 technology and computer-centric programs. Additionally, the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) will offer admissions for its 15 B.Tech programs. Both B.Tech and B.Arch programs are available at the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW). Notably, the university also offers a specialized 6-year Integrated B.Tech-MBA program. In total, IGDTUW offers 12 distinct courses, providing students with excellent options tailored to their specific interests and career aspirations.

How much is the fee?

To participate in JAC Delhi 2026, students are required to pay a registration and counseling fee of ₹1,500. Once the fee has been deposited, students will be able to select their preferred colleges and courses.
