Interest around Lille OSC’s young forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo (21) is rapidly rising, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, with both Manchester-based giants keen on signing the soon-to-be Belgium international.
Fernandez-Pardo, who primarily operates on the left flank but also featured centrally towards the end of the campaign, has recently pledged his international future to Belgium and is set to represent the Red Devils at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Even before the global tournament begins, the talented attacker is drawing considerable attention. Italian side Como, who will be participating in the UEFA Champions League next season, are also monitoring him closely. However, their top target remains Stade Rennais’ Esteban Lepaul. Competition for Lepaul is intense, with Benfica and Atletico Madrid also pursuing him. Moreover, his €30 million valuation and commitment to staying with Rennes for another season may complicate any potential move.
As a result, Fernandez-Pardo has emerged as an alternative option, though he too is attracting significant interest. Both Manchester City and Manchester United are believed to be admirers of the Belgian forward, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. Additionally, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are also understood to be part of the chase for his signature.
