Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed concern over the country’s rapidly increasing population and the economic pressures facing many families, urging parents to make responsible decisions when planning their families.

Speaking during a private television program ahead of Eid ul Adha, Ansari acknowledged the widely held belief that God provides sustenance for every individual. However, she stressed that parents also have a responsibility to consider their financial resources and ability to provide for their children before deciding on family size.

According to the actress, bringing seven or eight children into the world without having the means to ensure their proper education, upbringing, and basic necessities is not a responsible approach. She emphasized that parents should have only as many children as they can adequately support and offer opportunities for a better future.

Ansari also expressed disappointment over the decline of public awareness campaigns to family planning and population control. She noted that such initiatives were more common in the past but are now rarely seen.

The actress further highlighted that Pakistan is currently facing serious challenges, including economic difficulties, limited resources, and a continuously growing population. She stressed that addressing these issues requires greater public awareness and serious attention from both policymakers and society.

Bushra Ansari’s remarks have sparked discussion about the balance between family responsibilities, economic realities, and the need for sustainable population growth in Pakistan.
