Ujjain Mayor Mukesh Tatwal has taken an important initiative towards giving a uniform and attractive look to the Mahakal ride route. In fact, under this initiative, a request has been made to keep the exterior colors of about 800 houses and establishments located on the ride route uniform and to make the sign boards of shops also in uniform shape and design. The Mayor himself has written a letter to these residents and businessmen, appealing for cooperation in this noble cause. In the coming time, a detailed meeting will also be organized in this regard, in which discussions will be held with all the stakeholders.

Actually, this decision has been taken with the aim of further strengthening the religious and cultural identity of Ujjain, the city of Baba Mahakal. This letter issued by Mayor Mukesh Tatwal has been sent to every home through public representatives and regional councilors, so that every citizen can join this important campaign and ensure their participation.

What was mentioned in the letter?

It is clearly mentioned in this letter that Baba Mahakal’s city Ujjain is not just a geographical area, but a living symbol of faith, culture and Sanatan tradition. Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the work of widening and beautification in various areas of the city including Kanthal, Sati Gate and Gopal Mandir Ride Marg is progressing at a fast pace. This road is not just a means of transportation, but it is the core of the religious identity of Ujjain and the holy path of devotion to Baba Mahakal, on which lakhs of devotees pass paying their respects.

This appeal was made to the citizens of Ujjain

Through his letter, the Mayor has made a heartfelt appeal to the citizens of Ujjain to play an active role in this campaign. He urges that the devotees coming from India and abroad can experience the uniform and impressive form of cleanliness, beauty, grandeur and spirituality of Ujjain. From this point of view, it is extremely important to keep the exterior colors of buildings uniform and the sign boards of shops also to be displayed in uniform design. This uniformity will leave an unforgettable impression in the minds of visitors to Ujjain and will further enhance the spiritual aura of the city.

Ongoing preparations for the upcoming Simhastha

Last Saturday, this letter was specially handed over to the shopkeepers of Kanthal, Sati Gate and Gopal Mandir areas. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, while clarifying the broader thinking behind this initiative, said that due to the ongoing widening work as part of the preparations for the upcoming Simhastha, some parts of many houses and establishments have been affected. Now the work of reconstruction of these affected parts will be done. For this reason, it is being requested to keep the color and sign boards of the buildings the same, so that the goal of uniformity can be achieved along with reconstruction. He also reiterated that a joint meeting of residents and traders will be called soon on this important topic, in which their opinions and suggestions will also be heard. Only this collective effort will give Ujjain a unique and grand appearance, which will be in line with its ancient dignity and modern needs.
