The transfer market in the Women's Super League is heating up, with reports suggesting two of the league’s biggest names are on the verge of major moves.
As per detailed reports from The Athletic and BBC, both Katie McCabe and Niamh Charles are expected to switch clubs, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City all playing central roles in these blockbuster transfers.
Manchester City are reportedly “set to sign” Niamh Charles from their league rivals Chelsea. The England international left-back currently has one year remaining on her contract, and her medical is said to be “yet to be completed.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea are preparing a headline-grabbing move of their own, lining up Katie McCabe from Arsenal on a free transfer. This follows City’s initial interest in the Republic of Ireland star, although Chelsea have reportedly been chasing McCabe’s signature “for quite some time.”
Both deals signify major reshuffles among the top clubs in the WSL, and fans will need a moment to adjust when Charles and McCabe take to the pitch next season in their new colours.
