Former Real Madrid star Jese Rodriguez is reportedly close to signing an agreement with one of the Indonesian Super League clubs for the 2026/2027 season.

According to reports, the club that has allegedly reached a deal with the Spanish forward is said to have a blue-themed identity, sparking speculation among fans.

The news first surfaced on Sunday, 31 May 2026, through a local football account that frequently discusses Indonesian football and transfer rumours.

The player in question, Jese Rodriguez, is a product of the Real Madrid academy and once shone as one of Spain’s most promising young talents.

During the 2025/2026 season, Persib Bandung brought in several high-profile players such as Federico Barba, Thom Haye, Eliano Reijnders, and former Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa.

Persib Bandung, known for their strong financial backing, will compete in both the ASEAN Club Championship and the AFC Champions League in the 2026/2027 season.

This has led to speculation that Persib might be the team seeking to strengthen their squad with a player of Jese Rodriguez’s calibre to secure top results in the upcoming season.

However, it remains uncertain whether the blue-themed club in question is Persib Bandung, Arema FC, PSIM Yogyakarta, or Adhyaksa FC, as none of them have made an official statement regarding the rumour.

Regardless of which club ultimately signs him, Jese Rodriguez’s arrival would undoubtedly attract widespread attention from both local and international media.

Given his status as a former Real Madrid player, his presence in Indonesian football would be a major draw and a potential boost for the league’s profile.

Jese Rodriguez began his professional career at Real Madrid, making his senior debut in the 2011/2012 season and later featuring prominently from 2013/2014 until 2015/2016.

During his time with Los Blancos, he experienced top-tier European competitions such as La Liga, Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

In total, Jese made 94 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions, accumulating 3,089 minutes of playtime, 18 goals, 15 assists, and four yellow cards.

His tenure with Real Madrid saw him lift several prestigious trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Copa del Rey, and La Liga titles.

Beyond Real Madrid, Jese Rodriguez also represented top clubs such as Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain, and Stoke City.

Most recently, in the 2025/2026 season, he played for UD Las Palmas in Spain’s second division, La Liga 2.

During that campaign, he appeared in 33 matches, logging 1,848 minutes on the pitch, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists.

Jese’s contract with UD Las Palmas is set to expire on 30 June 2026, leaving him free to explore new opportunities.

Football fans are now eagerly waiting to see where the former Real Madrid attacker will continue his career, with rumours intensifying about his potential move to the Indonesian league in the 2026/2027 season.
