Tezzbuzz Desk – Samsung is in the news for its next generation foldable smartphone series. The company may unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event to be held next month. Even before the launch, many information to Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has surfaced on the internet, which has further increased the curiosity of tech lovers.

Recently, an alleged real-life picture and some renders have been leaked on social media, which give a glimpse of the design of Samsung’s upcoming foldable device. In a picture shared by famous tipster Ice Universe, it has been claimed that a person was seen using this new foldable phone in a public place. Although the device was covered with a special protective cover, some of its design elements were clearly visible.

The image shows a dual rear camera setup, which is housed in a pill-shaped camera module. LED flash is also present below it. According to reports, this device could be Samsung’s first wide foldable smartphone, which will come with a wider screen than the existing foldable models.

At the same time, both Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra models have been seen in the leaked renders. The color and design of both the smartphones are largely similar, but there are differences in the camera setup and size. A dual camera system is provided in one model, while a triple rear camera unit is seen in the other. Both devices are expected to have a centre-punch hole selfie camera.

Meanwhile, new discussions have also started regarding the branding of the foldable series. Some reports have claimed that Samsung may change its naming. The model which was earlier being called Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, can now be launched as Galaxy Z Fold 8. At the same time, the current standard fold model can be named Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

However, all this information has not yet been officially confirmed by Samsung. In such a situation, till the launch event, these reports are being seen only as leaks and speculations. Still, it is believed that this time the company can enter the foldable smartphone market with some big changes.
