Fulham have officially confirmed that head coach Marco Silva will be leaving the club.
The Portuguese manager’s contract at Craven Cottage has expired, and the club has announced that he will not be signing a new deal to extend his stay.
Silva’s departure marks the end of a highly successful five-year spell in charge, during which he achieved several notable milestones and established impressive records with the team.
His exit could also set off a chain of managerial movements that might eventually see José Mourinho make a sensational return to Real Madrid.
Numerous reports emerging from Portugal and Spain suggest that Silva is poised to become the next head coach of Benfica.
This potential appointment at the Estádio da Luz would, in turn, open the door for Mourinho to leave his current role and make a comeback to the Santiago Bernabéu dugout.
