MEDAN – The Director of the Narcotics Investigation Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Commissioner Andy Arisandi, has expressed his strong support for Argentina to win the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

He predicted that the team known as La Albiceleste will once again lift the trophy in world football’s most prestigious tournament.

According to him, Argentina possesses the mentality of champions and a well-organised style of play.

“But having the experience of being a champion will be a big advantage. There are many skilled players, but without a strong mentality, it means nothing,” he said.

The officer, who holds the rank of Commissioner, stated that Lionel Messi remains his key figure in the Argentina squad.

Despite Messi’s advancing age, his experience and leadership are still regarded as major strengths for the team.

Andy mentioned that he has been a loyal supporter of Argentina since childhood.

He said that from the moment he started watching football, he immediately became fond of the South American side.

“Lionel Messi will always be my mainstay,” he added.

Although he is backing Argentina, Andy acknowledged that the road to victory will not be easy.

He believes that Spain will pose the toughest challenge for Argentina.

The European nation previously won the 2010 World Cup and has also claimed three European Championship (Euro) titles.

“The toughest opponent is likely to be Spain. I’ve supported Argentina since birth, and when I first watched football, Argentina instantly became my favourite team,” he concluded.
