Actually, in Qualifier-2 of IPL 2026, Sudarshan played a shot in the direction of third man on the ball of Rajasthan Royals bowler Brijesh Sharma. However, while attempting the shot, the bat slipped from his hand and went backwards and hit the stumps. The bails fell as soon as the bat hit the stumps and the umpire declared him hit-wicket out. Interestingly, this is not the first time this has happened with Sudarshan. Earlier, he had got a similar hit-wicket dismissal against RCB in Qualifier 1 also. In that match too, his bat hit the stumps while playing a shot. After being dismissed like this in two consecutive matches, this incident became a topic of discussion in the cricket world and memes started being shared on social media.
Recall that Gujarat Titans had won the title in its debut season in IPL 2022, while the team was runner-up in IPL 2023. Even in IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans reached the eliminator. Due to continuous good performance, the team is considered a strong contender to win the title once again. At the same time, RCB will be eyeing to save its title.
