Delhi: The only test match between India and Afghanistan will be played in Mullanpur from June 6. This match will be held at Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium. Before this, bad news is coming for Indian fans. The team’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj may be out of this test match. In his place, Aaqib Nabi can be included in Team India’s squad.

Siraj is in danger of being out of the match

According to Times of India, Siraj has reached Mullanpur with the team. But he is under the supervision of the medical team. Siraj suffered a minor shoulder injury in the final of IPL 2026 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In such a situation, the team management can take a decision to drop him keeping in mind his fitness and workload. If Siraj is out, then bowler Aaqib Nabi, who took the highest wicket in Ranji Trophy last season, may get a place in the team.

No Aaqib, this player may get a chance to debut

Even if Aaqib joins the team in place of Siraj, he may not get a chance to play. According to reports, right arm fast bowler Gurnoor Brar may get a chance to debut. If Siraj remains completely fit, then it remains to be seen what combination the team will field with.

Indian team for the only test

Shubman Gill (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul (vice-captain), Sai Sudarshan, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Devdutt Padikkal, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Manav Suthar, Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper).
