Google I/O 2026: In the era of AI, Google is continuously bringing new experiments. In view of this, now the company has started rolling out a feature for the famous AI chatbot Gemini which will work to make the user experience better than before. For your information, let us tell you that Google has introduced new Thinking Levels in Gemini app and web version. With the help of which AI will think and analyze at different levels before answering the questions. This feature has been made available to both free and paid users in many countries including India.
Regarding this new mood, Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google’s Gemini and AI Studio, announced the update on social media platform X. According to which new Thinking Levels have currently been released for Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite, Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini 3.1 Pro models. In these models, users will get options like Standard and Extended Thinking. Along with this, an additional mode Deep Think is also going to be seen in Gemini 3.1 Pro. At present it is seen that this feature has been made available only for Google AI Ultra subscribers.
Regarding the Extended Thinking feature, Google says that the Standard mode is suitable for common questions, but when it comes to complex problems, logical analysis or deep research-based questions, the new Extended Thinking mode can prove to be more effective for you. It is being said that in this mode, Gemini takes a little more time before responding so that it can analyze the information given even better.
This new update has come out just a few days after Google’s annual developer event Google I/O 2026. As you might know that the company had announced Gemini 3.5 series in this event. In such a situation, Gemini 3.5 Flash is available on all platforms and the company is also working on preparations to launch Gemini 3.5 Pro soon. With the arrival of this new update, increasing competition will be seen in the AI industry. In such a situation, this step of Google clearly indicates that the company wants to make its chatbot not only faster but also more intelligent and an important need for everyone.
