FIFA has announced a ban on water bottles at all World Cup venues to prevent fans from throwing them onto the field. Previously, fans were allowed to bring transparent plastic bottles of up to one liter, but this regulation has now been revoked.

The prohibition also includes cups, jars, and cans. FIFA emphasized that this decision aims to ensure the safety and health of players, referees, fans, volunteers, and staff. They confirmed that water will still be available for purchase within the stadiums.
