The England national football team is drawing support from the Great Britain Olympic team (Team GB) as part of their mission to win the 2026 World Cup.

BOLASPORT.COM – England head coach Thomas Tuchel has enlisted the assistance of the Great Britain Olympic team in his quest to end the nation's long title drought at the 2026 World Cup.

At the prestigious quadrennial tournament, the Three Lions are determined to secure their first international trophy since 1966.

To break the six-decade wait, England have undertaken extensive preparations ahead of their campaign in the 2026 World Cup.

Their rigorous preparation began in early June 2026, when the squad arrived early in the United States for an intensive training camp.

Harry Kane and his teammates landed in the US on Monday (1 June 2026) and started training at West Palm Garden, Florida.

The primary goal of this training camp is to help players acclimatise to the hot weather conditions expected during the tournament.

Adapting to the heat is crucial, as England’s players are generally unaccustomed to the high temperatures and humidity levels in the United States.

“There will be many challenges at this World Cup. The heat is one of them, but we are ready,” said head coach Thomas Tuchel, as quoted by BolaSport.com via The Guardian.

To tackle these challenges, Tuchel has received assistance from Team GB, whose athletes are accustomed to competing in varying climate conditions.

In addition to support from Team GB, the former Chelsea manager has also worked with a number of specialists.

“We understand each player’s individual reaction to heat, and we already have cooling strategies in place,” he continued.

“We’ve had help from Team GB and experts from around the world to find solutions that help our players adapt better.”

“We know exactly how much time they should ideally spend training under the sun, and we make sure not to overtrain,” he explained.

Although Tuchel recognises that the hot climate poses a major challenge, he refuses to use it as an excuse.

The coach, who previously managed PSG and Bayern Munich, views the heat simply as an obstacle to overcome rather than a disadvantage.

Tuchel remains confident that his team can capture the 2026 World Cup title despite the conditions, thanks to the quality of players at his disposal.

“The heat is a factor, but it must not seem like we are making excuses,” he said.

“When I connect with the matches and build our training sessions and meetings here in Florida, I see a lot of quality.”

“That immediately gives me confidence and full enthusiasm that we can go far,” he concluded.

Before their opening match at the 2026 World Cup, England are scheduled to play a friendly against New Zealand.

The Three Lions will face the Group G participants on Sunday (7 June 2026) at 03:00 WIB.

After that, England will play another warm-up match against Costa Rica on Thursday (11 June 2026), just a week before their first match in the tournament.
