On Saturday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the T20I squads for India's forthcoming tours to England and Ireland in 2026. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the captain, with Tilak Varma serving as the vice-captain for these matches.
In a surprising turn of events, Suryakumar Yadav, who led India to victory in the 2026 T20 World Cup, has not been included in the squad for the upcoming tours.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a young batting talent who topped the charts in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) with 776 runs at an impressive strike rate of 237.30, has received his first call-up to the national team. Additionally, fast bowler Prince Yadav has also made the squad.

The Indian top order features a dynamic lineup with players like Abhishek Sharma, Sooryavanshi, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan. The middle order includes Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, and the powerful Shivam Dube. The spin department comprises Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Ravi Bishnoi, while the pace attack includes Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj.
Notably, Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the T20I series in Ireland and England. Rinku Singh and Kuldeep Yadav, who were part of the T20 World Cup-winning squad, have also been excluded.
India is set to face Ireland in two T20I matches in Belfast on June 26 and 28, followed by a series of five T20Is in England from July 1 to 11.
