New Delhi: Tech company Meta has launched a new paid subscription plan called Instagram Plus in India. The price of this plan has been kept at Rs 299 per month. The company says that through this plan, users will get many advanced and exclusive features, which will not be available to normal users. Although the standard version of Instagram will continue to run for free as before, but for additional features, users will have to take a subscription.
The most popular feature of Instagram Plus is Secret Story Preview. Through this, users will be able to watch anyone’s story, but their name will not appear in the viewer list. Apart from this, users will also be able to see how many times their story has been re-viewed. Now the time limit of the story has also been increased from 24 hours to 48 hours. Also, by spotlighting one story every week, it can be made available to more people.
Under this plan, many new and attractive features will be given to the users. It includes special fonts, custom app icons, and animated super heart reactions. Colorful animated hearts will appear on the screen during chat and story interactions. Apart from this, with the help of Profile Pins feature, users will be able to pin six important posts on the top of their profile.
Instagram Plus subscribers will also get the option to create unlimited custom audience lists. This feature will work like close friends, but different groups can be created in it. Users will also be able to easily search for any person in the list of story viewers.
Meta is now also emphasizing on paid subscription model instead of relying only on advertisements. The company believes that this will give it new earning options. In the coming time, more new features can be added for Instagram Plus users.
