Mumbai, June 7: Skyworth has launched its latest gaming monitor, the G27Q Pro, in China. This 27-inch monitor features a 1440p display and boasts a high refresh rate, with pre-sales set to begin on June 8 at an introductory price of 1,099 yuan (approximately $162).

The G27Q Pro is equipped with a 2K (2560×1440) Fast IPS panel, offering a native refresh rate of 260Hz that can be overclocked to 275Hz. It also features a 1ms gray-to-gray response time and 178-degree viewing angles. To combat screen tearing, the monitor supports Adaptive-Sync and is compatible with both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync.

Skyworth has integrated its Motion Clarity Engine Pro, designed to minimize motion blur, along with a 10-level adjustable overdrive setting for users to customize the response time according to their frame rates. The monitor covers 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, 100% of sRGB, and 94% of Adobe RGB, with each unit factory-calibrated to a Delta E of less than 1 for precise color accuracy.

Additional features include specific color profiles like Rec.709 and BT.2020, making the monitor suitable for basic photo and video editing in addition to gaming. It has a peak brightness of 570 nits, a static contrast ratio of 1400:1, and holds an HDR400 certification.

For gamers, the G27Q Pro offers built-in software features such as genre-specific presets for FPS, RPG, and MOBA games, along with crosshairs, shadow boosting, and sniper zoom modes. A unique setting simulates a smaller 24.5-inch screen for those who prefer a tighter field of view.

In terms of daily use, the monitor includes an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness and color temperature adjustments, hardware-level low blue light reduction, an anti-glare matte coating, and DC dimming to prevent screen flicker.

Connectivity options feature two DisplayPort 1.4 connections, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. To achieve the maximum 1440p at 275Hz, users will need to utilize the DisplayPort connections, as HDMI 2.0 bandwidth is limited.

The included stand is fully adjustable, offering 130mm of height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and a 90-degree pivot for portrait orientation. The monitor weighs 4.9kg with the stand and supports 75x75mm VESA mounting.

In , Asus has also launched a new 24.5-inch 540Hz Tandem OLED gaming monitor aimed at competitive esports players, featuring an impressive 0.02ms response time.
