Fire Erupts in New Friends Colony, No Casualties Reported

Good news has emerged from the upscale New Friends Colony in Delhi. On Sunday afternoon, around 3:40 PM, a sudden fire broke out in a residential building. Upon receiving the alert, the fire brigade promptly dispatched teams to the scene without delay.


Fortunately, contrary to initial fears, no injuries were reported among the residents. However, a pet dog inside the house suffered burns and was quickly rescued by firefighters, who transported it to an animal hospital for treatment.



Trapped Individuals Rescued Amidst Smoke Rescue Operations Underway

According to Fire Station Officer Phool Singh Meena, they received the call about the fire at approximately 3:38 PM, leading to an immediate dispatch of fire engines to the location. Upon arrival, the scene was alarming, with thick black smoke billowing from the upper floors of the building, and several individuals trapped inside, unable to find an escape route.




Cause of the Fire Identified Malfunctioning AC Sparks Incident

Firefighters acted heroically to rescue a total of eight individuals, including four children and four adults, trapped inside the building. Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire was caused by a malfunction in the air conditioning unit located on the upper ground floor. Authorities confirmed that the fire has been completely extinguished, but as a precaution, four fire engines remain stationed at the site to prevent any potential flare-ups. The administration expressed relief that there were no casualties in this incident.
