Suriya’s 'Karuppu' continues its impressive theatrical run and remains steady even in its fourth week. The film recorded another rise in collections on Day 24.
According to Sacnilk estimates, the film collected Rs 1.75 crore in India net on its twenty-fourth day. This represents a 19 percent jump compared to Day 23, when the film earned Rs 1.47 crore.
'Karuppu's worldwide total moves beyond Rs 304 crore markWith Day 24 collections added, 'Karuppu' has taken its total India net earnings to approximately Rs 193.40 crore. India gross collections currently stand at around Rs 223.54 crore.
The film earned nearly Rs 20 lakhs overseas on Day 24. This takes its international gross total to Rs 80.60 crore. The worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 304.14 crore.
Tamil version remains the backbone of collectionsThe Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 53.42 percent. Afternoon and evening shows attracted the strongest response from audiences. Afternoon occupancy stood at 61.91 percent while evening shows reached 57.09 percent. However overall performance remained stable enough to support another growth day.
The first week closed with Rs 113.85 crore, while the second week added Rs 54.30 crore. Week three contributed another Rs 21.20 crore.
Fantasy actioner 'Karuppu' features Suriya in the lead role alongside Trisha Krishnan and Balaji. The supporting cast includes Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada and Supreeth Reddy. 'Karuppu' turns out to be the biggest comeback for Suriya.
