Late Saturday night, the police carried out a major operation in Kukatpally area of ​​Hyderabad. Kukatpally zone DCP Ritiraj reportedly inspected a pub in plain clothes and then raided there with the police team, in which several irregularities came to light. Police claim that the pub was open after the stipulated time, an illegal dance floor was being run there and suspicious activities were found.

According to the police, a surprise inspection was conducted at the popular Kings and Queens Pub (Club Masti) in KPHB Colony. DCP Ritiraj, Additional DCP Shameer, DI KS Ravi and other policemen were present during this operation. Inspection revealed that the pub was being run in violation of many rules and legal provisions. It is alleged that the pub was using women to attract customers for the purpose of making illegal profits. Apart from this, alleged links with promotion of immoral activities and sex work are also being investigated.

9 employees including manager arrested

During inspection, it was found that adequate measures were not taken to prevent entry of minors in places where liquor was being served. The pub was operating beyond the stipulated hours and was doing business without the required police 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC). During the operation, nine employees, including the manager, were arrested, which included four women and five men. The police have registered a case against the pub management under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PIT Act).
