FC Bayern Munich has firmly responded to Real Madrid’s alleged pursuit of Michael Olise, making it clear that the French winger is not for sale. Meanwhile, reports suggest that FC Barcelona has included Lennart Karl on its scouting radar. Here’s the latest round-up of news and rumours surrounding the German champions.

FC Bayern Munich responds to Real Madrid’s interest in Michael Olise

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has categorically dismissed speculation about Michael Olise’s potential exit, emphasising that the club has no plans to part ways with the 24-year-old winger. Earlier reports had indicated that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez was preparing a €150 million offer for Olise, contingent on his re-election in the club’s upcoming presidential contest.

During an interaction with fans, Hainer told Bild, “Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player with a long-term contract, and we do not sell our players. If Florentino Perez wants to send an offer—which he has not done yet—he can save himself the trouble.”

Although Florentino Perez and Real Madrid’s soon-to-be coach José Mourinho reportedly consider Olise a key figure in their 2027 UEFA Champions League project, Bayern’s top brass remains united in their stance. The board members—Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Jan-Christian Dreesen, Max Eberl, and Christoph Freund—are said to be unanimous in their commitment to keeping Olise, who joined the club in 2024, regardless of external interest.

Even though Pérez had publicly denied on Spanish television that the €150 million bid was intended for Olise, media outlets have continued to assert otherwise. Nevertheless, Bayern’s management sees the matter as settled: Olise, whose contract runs until 2029, is definitively not on the market.

FC Bayern Munich: FC Barcelona scouts Lennart Karl

According to the Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona has placed Bayern Munich’s Lennart Karl on its watchlist, citing “trustworthy sources.”

The publication claims that the Catalan club’s scouting list includes five emerging talents who could use the upcoming World Cup as a major platform. Alongside Karl, another Bundesliga player, Bayer Leverkusen’s Ibrahim Maza, has been mentioned. Maza has reportedly impressed Barcelona scouts with his “exceptional dribbling, creativity, and vision.”

Despite the 18-year-old Maza’s absence from the tournament due to a muscle tear, he remains under close observation by Barça. Completing the list are midfielders Kees Smit (AZ Alkmaar), Lewis Miley (Newcastle United), and Porto’s creative playmaker Rodrigo Mora.
