The government has implemented stricter security protocols for the upcoming NEET UG 2026 re-examination. The Indian Air Force (IAF) will be responsible for transporting question papers to 18 designated locations, with admit cards set to be available on June 14, 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced rigorous security measures for NEET UG 2026, which is recognized as the largest medical entrance examination in the nation. Several critical decisions have been made to ensure that the re-examination, scheduled for June 21, 2026, is conducted securely and transparently.
Compared to previous examinations, security for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination has been significantly enhanced. The NTA and the government aim to ensure that the examination process is entirely leak-proof and equitable.
Key individuals involved in the examination process, including paper setters, moderators, and translators, will be placed in high-security isolation zones where the use of mobile phones, internet, and other electronic devices is strictly forbidden.
The examination process now features a multi-layered security system. The entire workflow, from the creation of question papers to their delivery at examination centers, will be executed in distinct stages to prevent any potential lapses.
A notable change is the involvement of the Indian Air Force (IAF), which has been tasked with the secure delivery of question papers. The IAF will transport the papers to 18 different locations across the country.
From these 18 locations, the question papers will be sent to the respective examination centers. This system is designed to completely eliminate the risk of paper leaks or tampering at any stage.
Candidates should note that the admit card for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be available for download on June 14, 2026. They can access it exclusively from the official website, www.neet.nta.nic.in, using their application number, password, and security pin.
The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will take place in offline mode (pen-and-paper) on June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The exam will be conducted across 551 cities in India and 14 cities internationally, allowing a large number of candidates to participate.
