US President Donald Trump has received a major setback from the federal court in the H-1B visa fee case. The court has canceled the new H-1B visa fee of $ 1 lakh (about Rs 83 lakh) imposed by the Trump administration, calling it illegal. Boston Court Judge Leo Sorokin gave this decision on Monday. This case reached the court after a lawsuit filed by the Attorney General of 20 Democratic states. These states had challenged Trump's decision in which an annual fee of $ 1 lakh was imposed on the new H-1B visa.

In fact, Judge Leo Sorokin on Monday canceled the $100,000 fee imposed by US President Donald Trump on new H-1B visas for foreign professionals. He said that this was an illegal tax. The decision comes in connection with a lawsuit filed by 20 Democratic state attorneys general, challenging the fees announced by Trump in September, which significantly increased the cost of obtaining H-1B visas.
