Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has shared her candid views on love, marriage and modern relationships, arguing that social media has created unrealistic expectations that often do more harm than good.

Speaking in a recent interview with Fever FM, Kangana said that relationships are deeply personal and cannot be measured against the picture-perfect romances often seen online.

'My story was hate at first sight, not love at first sight'Discussing modern-day relationships, Kangana pointed to the growing influence of social media on how people perceive love and marriage.

"One thing I strongly feel is that people need to move away from social media's version of relationships—the proposals on one knee, the rings, the vacations, the grand gestures," she said.

According to the actor, many couples end up comparing their lives with carefully curated online content and begin questioning their own emotions.

"A lot of relationships suffer today because people constantly compare their lives to what they see online and think, 'Why isn't my life like that?'"

She went on to dismiss popular romantic cliches, adding, "My story wasn't 'love at first sight.' It was probably 'hate at first sight.' Then it became love. All of those cliches are nonsense."
