The 10th edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is being held in England. 12 teams are participating in this edition. The tournament will start from June 12, while the final match is to be played on July 5 at the historic ground of Lord’s. The New Zealand team will go to defend its title. It won the title by defeating South Africa in the final of the last T20 World Cup played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It became the fourth team to become champion in this tournament which started in 2009.

All 33 matches of the tournament will be played at 7 venues in England. These 7 venues are – Old Trafford, Headingley, Edgbaston, Bristol County Ground, Hampshire Bowl, The Oval and Lord’s. The Oval has been given the hosting of the semi-finals. The title match will be held at Lord’s.
ICC has announced a record prize money of 87 lakh, 64 thousand, 615 dollars for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This is 10 percent more than the previous edition. The team that wins the title will get 23 lakh, 40 thousand dollars (about Rs 22.5 crore). Whereas the runner-up will be given 11 lakh, 70 thousand dollars (approximately Rs 11.15 crore).
The teams that are eliminated from the semi-finals after losing will be entitled to $6 lakh 75 thousand (approximately Rs 6.43 crore). For every win in the group stage, teams will get $31,154 separately. All the 12 teams participating in this tournament are sure to get 2 lakh 47 thousand 500 dollars (approximately Rs 2.35 crore).
