Meenakshi Natarajan Nomination Rejection: Meenakshi Natarajan has approached the Supreme Court against the rejection of her Rajya Sabha nomination. He has challenged the decision of the Returning Officer in the Supreme Court. After not getting any response from the Election Commission, the Congress leader has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court. The returning officer had canceled the nomination for not providing information about the case pending in Telangana in Form 26.

The Congress delegation had given a representation to the Election Commission along with Meenakshi on Wednesday, but the Commission did not respond.
Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi will mention the case on behalf of Meenakshi in the Supreme Court today. Will demand a stay on the decision of the Returning Officer from the vacation bench of the Supreme Court.

No response received from Election Commission

In fact, the Congress delegation had met the Election Commission on Wednesday regarding this entire matter. But no reply came. After this the matter reached the Supreme Court. Natarajan had filed nomination in Madhya Pradesh but his nomination was rejected. Giving the reason, the Returning Officer said that Natarajan had not given information about the case pending in Telangana in Form-26.
