Manchester United players have been actively involved in international fixtures this week as national teams gear up for the FIFA World Cup.

The Argentine centre-back has struggled with injuries throughout this season but has managed to start every warm-up game for Argentina.

Lisandro Martinez featured for 45 minutes in Argentina’s 3-0 victory against Iceland. The defender delivered one key pass and registered an impressive 96% passing accuracy against the Northern European side.

Martinez had a relatively easy outing defensively, as he did not need to contest any aerial or ground duels, with Iceland offering minimal attacking threat to the reigning world champions.

Argentina and Martinez will begin their World Cup campaign against Algeria on 17th June at 02:00 BST.

Kobbie Mainoo has enjoyed a stellar second half of the season, reclaiming his spot both in Manchester United’s starting lineup and in the England national team.

The academy graduate came off the bench for England in their 3-0 win against Costa Rica.

Replacing Elliot Anderson, Mainoo made one key pass and achieved a perfect 100% pass completion rate.

He came close to scoring his first goal for England, but his shot was denied by the Costa Rican goalkeeper.

Mainoo also completed all of his dribble attempts and won five of his seven ground duels, further highlighting his growing confidence and composure on the ball.

Marcus Rashford learned yesterday that FC Barcelona have decided not to activate the €30 million purchase clause included in his loan agreement.

This development leaves Rashford’s club future uncertain as he heads into the World Cup.

He replaced Anthony Gordon in the 71st minute and registered one shot on target.

Rashford also provided one key pass and successfully completed his only dribble attempt of the game.

In addition, he won 100% of his duels and 100% of his tackles, delivering an impressive performance in limited minutes.
