Launched as an upgraded version of Pova 7, the new Pova 8 has caught the attention of users due to its larger battery and high-refresh rate display. Launched in the mid-range segment, this smartphone has many attractive features like 8000mAh large battery, 144Hz refresh rate display and MediaTek Dimensity processor.
Pova 8 has been launched in two storage variants. Its 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model has been priced at Rs 29,999, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will be available for Rs 31,999. The smartphone can be purchased in attractive colors like 16 Bit White, Terminal Green and Plasma Orange. It will be sold on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.
The phone has a 6.76 inch Full HD+ display, which supports 144Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with a peak brightness of up to 950 nits and a 1500Hz instant touch sampling rate, making the gaming and scrolling experience quite smooth.
Pova 8 runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. It has a 6nm based MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor. Mali-G610 MC2 GPU is present for graphics, which improves multitasking and gaming.
For photography, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera sensor is provided at the back of the phone. A 13MP front camera is available for selfie and video calling. The camera system supports features like Portrait, Super Night Mode, Time-Lapse, Slow Motion, Vlog Mode and Dual Video.
The biggest feature of Pova 8 is its 8000mAh battery. The phone comes with 45W fast charging support. The company claims that this device offers long standby time, hours of calling and video playback on a single charge.
In the Indian market, Pova 8 is expected to compete with smartphones like Motorola Edge 60 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A36 5G and Realme 15 Pro 5G. The large battery and high-refresh rate display make it a strong choice for gaming and power users.
