On the occasion of completion of 12 years of Modi government, the rhetoric between the ruling party and the opposition has intensified. In the same sequence, Union Minister BL Verma has responded to Congress MP Imran Masood’s attack on the Central Government. In fact, after the statements of both the leaders, discussion on this issue has increased in political circles.
In fact, Union Minister BL Verma said that in the last 12 years the country has achieved many new milestones of development. He said that the benefits of government schemes have been extended to the people without any discrimination. According to him, the focus of the central government has been on the development of all sections. He also said that government facilities have been provided to crores of people through schemes like housing and Ujjwala. During this time, he also raised questions on the politics of Congress and said that the party has been doing appeasement politics for a long time.
In fact, Congress MP from Saharanpur Imran Masood had raised many questions regarding the economic and foreign policy of the central government. He claimed that unemployment remains a big challenge in the country and economic pressure on the common people has increased. Masood also said that the per capita debt burden has increased in the last years. Apart from this, he also criticized the government regarding its oil import policy and said that the decisions being taken at the international level are affecting the people of the country.
Imran Masood also mentioned former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in his statement. In fact, he said that the basic structure of the country’s development was prepared in the same period after independence. Masood also alleged that the current government is over-publicizing its achievements. After his statement, BJP leaders started reacting continuously and called it a part of political allegations.
In fact, Union Minister BL Verma while replying said that the work of the government has not been limited to any one section. He said that people across the country have benefited from various schemes of the Centre. According to him, the government has continuously worked on basic amenities, housing, gas connections and other welfare schemes. Verma said that it is important to pay attention to the facts to see the development works. Responding to Imran Masood’s statement, he said that if the development works are seen from the right perspective, the efforts of the government will be clearly visible.
