Samsung’s next flagship foldable is getting a real-world preview. Leaked photos and videos show the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra closed and open, alongside its device-specific wallpapers now visible on both the cover and inner displays. The images, shared by leakers Farhad Ali Jawed and Gabriel2392 and reported by SamMobile, give the clearest look yet at the phone’s shape and color before an official launch.

Refined shape and near-same dimensions

The leaked renders suggest the Z Fold 8 Ultra will retain a form factor close to its predecessor while feeling slightly more refined. Reports indicate folded dimensions around 158.4 x 72.8 x 8.9mm and unfolded around 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5mmmaking it very similar in size to the previous model but with a slimmer profile. The device appears to use an aluminum frameinclude a side-mounted fingerprint readerand offer an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.

Camera layout and build details

The images show a vertical dual-camera setup on the back, matching the arrangement seen on recent Samsung flagships. The camera island looks refined and compact, with a cleaner aesthetic than older Z Fold designs. The cover display is expected to be protected by Gorilla Glass 2while the inner foldable panel may use a dual-UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) structure and a new hinge for a nearly crease-free experience.

Four interactive “8” wave wallpapers leak

Beyond hardware, the leak uncovers the phone’s stock wallpapers — a set of four interactive wave patterns shaped like the number 8echoing the “Z Fold 8” name. Each wallpaper uses a different color scheme, all with a slight pinkish/mauve tone, which aligns with leaker Roland Quandt’s suggestion that the standout color for the foldable 8-series will be a lavender/violet hue.

Key rumored specs and launch Outlook

The Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.5-inch LTPO OLED cover display and an 8-inch LTPO OLED foldable inner displayboth with 1–120Hz variable refresh rates, HDR10+and peak brightness up to 2,600 nits. The phone is rumored to pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 4,900mAh batteryand support 45W–65W fast chargingwith One UI 9 out of the box. If the specs hold, the device will push the premium foldable bar higher with AAA gaming performance, long battery life, and a brighter, more crease-free inner screen.
