The line-up of ITV commentators, analysts and presenters for the World Cup 2026 clash between South Korea and Czechia has now been confirmed.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup began with co-hosts Mexico defeating South Africa 2-0 at the iconic Estadio Azteca. The fixture was a repeat of the opening match from the tournament held in South Africa 16 years ago.

Group A action continues on ITV tonight, with South Korea taking on Czechia at the Estadio Guadalajara in Zapopan, kicking off at 3am UK time. Here’s a look at who will be fronting ITV’s coverage both in the studio and from the commentary box.

ITV’s World Cup coverage will once again be anchored by Laura Woods, presenting live from the channel’s Brooklyn studio in New York. She will be joined by former EFL player and experienced football pundit Jobi McAnuff, alongside England’s Lionesses legend Karen Carney.

Carney, who has become a familiar face in sports broadcasting, will provide her insights from the studio as part of ITV’s analysis team.

Meanwhile, commentary duties for the South Korea vs Czechia encounter will be handled by Seb Hutchinson and former England winger Andros Townsend. The duo take over from Jon Champion and Ally McCoist, who called the opening match in Mexico City.

Since hanging up his boots, Townsend has built a strong reputation as a perceptive and articulate co-commentator. Hutchinson, on the other hand, has become a regular voice for football fans after covering numerous Premier League fixtures for Sky Sports during the past season.

The late-night kick-off at 3am UK time will certainly test the dedication of World Cup fans, separating the casual viewers from the true football enthusiasts.

Expect to hear plenty from Andros Townsend this summer as ITV continues its extensive coverage of the 2026 World Cup.
