Delhi BJP organized a special press conference on the occasion of completion of 12 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has described the last 12 years as India’s era of change, development and public participation. In fact, he said that this is not just a celebration of the tenure of a government, but also an opportunity to remember the achievements of the new India. According to him, the country has made progress in many areas during this period which have directly impacted the lives of common people.
In fact, Rekha Gupta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not limited politics only to power but has made it a medium of public service. He claimed that in the last 12 years, the government’s schemes have reached the last person of the society. According to him, today India is being recognized not only as a big market but also as a country that provides solutions to the world. He said that the country’s global position has been strengthened due to continuous work in the fields of agriculture, technology, health, education and infrastructure.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has included the Digital India campaign among the biggest achievements of the last decade. In fact, he said that the reach of internet and digital services has increased in villages, which has made it easier for people to use government services. Lakhs of rural areas have been connected to digital network through Bharat Net project. Along with this, India has created a distinct identity in the world in the field of digital payments.
He said that the country has also taken a big leap on the infrastructure front. The metro network has expanded to many cities and the reach of air services has increased to smaller cities. Due to the UDAN scheme, air travel has become more accessible to the common people than before. Road, rail and expressway projects have improved connectivity between the states. The government claims that these projects have also given new impetus to trade, tourism and investment.
In fact, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the biggest impact of the schemes of the Central Government is visible on the poor, farmers, women and small businessmen. He said that schemes like free ration, Jan Dhan account, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and Kisan Samman Nidhi have directly benefited crores of people. According to him, special attention has also been given to economically strengthening women and increasing employment in rural areas.
Referring to Self-reliant India and Make in India campaign, he said that India is no longer just a consumer market, but is rapidly moving towards becoming a global manufacturing hub. Investments in areas like electronics production, mobile manufacturing and semiconductor investment are examples of this. CM Rekha Gupta said that the expansion of the startup ecosystem and technological innovation has created new opportunities for the youth.
